Born in a middle-class family in Uttar Pradesh, Suryakumar Yadav developed a passion for cricket playing gully cricket in Varanasi’s streets. At 10, he moved to Mumbai where his uncle coached him initially before joining cricket camps and academies like Dilip Vengsarkar’s. He played age-group and club cricket honing his unorthodox batting style.
Career
After a decade of consistently performing in domestic cricket, Suryakumar Yadav finally got his India call-up in 2021 at age 30.
