In a world where daily needs have become luxuries for many, MistyCliff Foundation represents hope for those people. Mr. K.K. Jain and Mrs. M.K. Jain are the founders of MistyCliff Foundation. The NGO is based in Ahmedabad. It is dedicated to providing affordable ration kits to low-income families. Each ration kit is packed with essential items like rice, flour, sugar, and oil, provided to families at a fraction of the cost, thanks to the foundation’s relentless dedication.
Mr. and Mrs. Jain have created a well-thought-out combination of basic, branded, and fresh essentials in each ration kit. Each package they create has everything a family needs. Each Ration Kit package costs them Rs.500 and contains 5kg of wheat flour, 1kg of basmati rice, 1kg of salt, 1kg of sugar and 1 litre of cooking oil. Despite costing Rs.500, the MistyCliff Foundation provides it in Rs.200 to those in need, ensuring that no family feel financial burden for food. They have set the price carefully to ensure that every family can afford these essentials.
Since its inception, MistyCliff Foundation has managed its funding through personal contributions from the founders and a few well-wishers who believe in their cause. Initially, the foundation received no external donations. Mr. and Mrs. Jain personally bore the cost, determined to make a difference. Their selfless approach has inspired others to support their initiative, helping the foundation to grow and assist even more families.
While MistyCliff Foundation was officially registered as an NGO in October 2024, their journey started long before. In various towns across Maharashtra and cities like Surat and Ahmedabad in Gujarat, the foundation has distributed over 500 kits without any major external support. This was a testament to the foundation’s commitment, even without official recognition, as they brought relief to countless families in small towns and urban areas alike.
A unique aspect of MistyCliff Foundation’s mission is its commitment to quality. Unlike many low-cost distribution programs, this foundation insists on using only branded and fresh products in every ration kit. Mr. Jain believes that providing quality essentials at a low cost uplifts the recipients’ sense of dignity. This dedication to quality ensures that families not only receive affordable food but also products that are safe and nutritious.
The MistyCliff Foundation’s journey doesn’t end with providing food. The MistyCliff Foundation’s journey doesn’t end with providing food. The founders are planning to expand their activities to include educational support for underprivileged children by focusing on access to basic schooling and supplies.
