Bail plea of accused in Divya Pahuja murder case rejected, had given plea in court to get teeth removed

A local court in Gurugram in Haryana on Wednesday rejected the interim bail plea of the main accused in the murder of former model Divya Pahuja.

Giving information, the police said that the lawyers of accused Abhijeet Singh, Advocate Jessica Virdi and Advocate Navneet Tripathi had filed a bail petition on his behalf on medical grounds.

In the petition filed on behalf of Abhijeet Singh, it was said that on November 25 last year, four of his teeth were removed. The rest have also deteriorated and 14 more teeth will have to be removed.

According to the police, Abhijeet Singh’s lawyers Navneet Tripathi and Adv. Jessica Virdi also said that there are not adequate facilities in Bhondsi jail, where accused Singh is lodged.

During the hearing in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Virendra Malik, it was revealed that Dr. Pooja, a dentist working in the jail hospital, said that some of the teeth of the accused have been extracted properly while other treatment can be done at PGIMS, Rohtak.

A senior police officer said that the court accepted that if treatment is not available in Rohtak hospital then the accused can be taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi, but considering the seriousness of the case, the court rejected the interim bail plea of the accused. Rejected.

On the night of January 2, 2024, model Divya Pahuja, the girlfriend of gangster Sandeep Gadoli, was murdered in a private hotel in Gurugram.
