Sidhu Moose Wala, born Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu on June 11, 1993, was from the village of Moosa in Mansa district of Punjab. He discovered his passion for singing folk songs at a young age while studying in school. After completing his electrical engineering degree, he briefly stayed in Canada before returning to pursue music full-time.

Sidhu Moose Wala began his journey writing lyrics for other Punjabi artists in 2016. But it didn’t take long for his own singing talent to take center stage with smash hits like the gangster rap anthem “So High” and “Legend.” Though criticized at times for glorifying guns and violence in his music videos, his popularity only grew.
