Early life
Amir was born on April 13, 1992, in Changa Bangial, Gujar Khan, Punjab, Pakistan. The second youngest of seven children, consisting of six sons and a daughter, his father, Raja Mohammad Fayyaz, served in the Pakistan Army before taking a government job as a watchman in a school. While growing up, he idolized Wasim Akram. In 2003, he was spotted at a local tournament, and he got invited to join Bajwa Cricket Academy. Amir is married to Narjis Khatun, who is a British citizen and lawyer. They tied the knot in 2016. They have three daughters.
Career
Mohammad Amir gained fame in 2007/08 after impressing with his pace and ability to swing the ball both ways. He was called up to the Pakistan national team for the World Twenty20 in 2009, playing a crucial role in Pakistan’s T20 World Cup campaign. Amir made an impressive start to his Test career, picking up six scalps. He continued his good form and became the youngest bowler to reach 50 wickets in Test cricket during Pakistan’s tour to England.
