Who is Dipendra Singh Airee?

Dipendra Singh Airee is a Nepalese Cricketer. He was born on 24 January 2000.In August 2018, he was one of the eleven cricketers to play in Nepal’s first-ever One Day International (ODI) match, against the Netherlands. He is regarded as one of the best all rounders in Nepal. During the 19^th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, Airee made an unbeaten record fastest fifty in T20I cricket by scoring 50* off just 9 balls against Mongolia. He was the third-highest run-scorer for Montreal Tigers during the Global T-20 League 2023, in Canada. On 13^th April he hit six sixes in an over. He becomes the third cricketer in the history of T20I cricket to hit six sixes in an over against Qatar in the ACC Premier Cup.

Career

Dipendra Singh Airee made his List A debut for Nepal against Kenya in the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship. He was named in Nepal’s squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and was captain of the Nepal national under-19 team in the 2017 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup. Airee made his Twenty20 International debut in the 2018 MCC Tri-Nation Series against the Netherlands in August 2018. He was also named in Nepal’s squad for the 2018 Asia Cup Qualifier tournament and the Regional Finals of the 2018–19 ICC T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier tournament. In September 2020, Airee was awarded a central contract by the Cricket Association of Nepal. In December 2021, Airee and Gyanendra Malla were sacked as vice-captains and captains, respectively, due to disciplinary issues. In March 2022, Airee scored his first century in an ODI match with 105 runs. In September 2023, he broke a 16-year-old world record for the fastest 50 runs in T20I by scoring 50 in just 9 balls against Mongolia in the 2022 Asian Games. On April 13 he became third cricketer to hit six sixes in an over.
