She recognized the lack of online presence among independent merchants and the need for better training in financing, scaling-up, website design, and procurement. Zilingo raised $226 million in Series D funding in 2019, with a $970 million market value. As of 2019, it had over seven million active users. The China-United States trade war allowed Zilingo to expand into America, sourcing Indian fabrics for Californian factories and opening offices on the West Coast and East Coast.
