Anjana Om Kashyap was born on 12 June 1975 in Ranchi, Bihar, to her father Dr. Om Prakash Tiwari.
Career
Anjana Om Kashyap began his journalism career with Doordarshan in 2003. After that, she joined Aaj Tak, and now she is the executive editor of the Aaj Tak news channel. She is one of India’s most successful and well-known journalists. She is known for her programs, Halla Bol and Aaj Tak Special Report. Kashyap Is known as a strong anti-reservation voice in India, opposing reservations for socially oppressed classes and similar affirmative action schemes. In a media-panel discussion, she once described the system as infested with “termites,” bringing neither social mobility nor economic prosperity to the targeted population. She cites her Brahminical upbringing and the prevailing social tensions following the implementation of the Mandal Commission recommendations as contributing factors. She has previously hosted debate programs such as Badi Baat and Do Tuk on other Hindi channels.
Anjana has acted in Hindi films such as Sultan (2016 film) and Tiger Zinda Hai. While reporting on the 2019 Bihar encephalitis outbreak, Anjana entered the neonatal ICU at Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital and began assaulting the on-duty pediatrician.
