According to news agency PTI, actor and producer Vidnyan Mane has approached the police in Sangli district, accusing Palaash of cheating him in connection with an upcoming film titled Nazaria. Mane has submitted a written application to the Superintendent of Police, requesting the registration of a First Information Report (FIR).
As per the complaint, Palaash and Vidnyan met in Sangli on December 5, 2023. During the meeting, Vidnyan expressed interest in investing in film production. Palaash allegedly offered him the opportunity to join Nazaria as a producer. The complaint claims that Palaash assured Vidnyan that an investment of ₹25 lakh would generate a profit of up to ₹12 lakh after the film’s release on OTT platforms. Vidnyan was also reportedly promised an acting role in the project.
Following two additional meetings, Vidnyan transferred a total of ₹40 lakh to Palaash by March 2025. However, the film project allegedly remained incomplete. Vidnyan Mane also said that Palaash cheated on Smriti Mandhana. Mane claimed that he was present during the wedding celebrations scheduled for November 23, 2025, when Muchhal was allegedly caught with another woman.
“I was at the wedding celebrations when he was caught red-handed with another woman in bed. It was a shocking scene. He was beaten up by Indian female cricketers,” Mane alleged. He further claimed that he is Smriti Mandhana’s childhood friend and was introduced to Muchhal by her family. “I thought he would get married and settle in Sangli, but it completely backfired on me,” he added.
